“He scooped some of the honey into his hands and ate it along the way. He also gave some to his father and mother, and they ate it. But he didn’t tell them he had taken the honey from the carcass of the lion.” Judges 14:9 NLT

Honey in the carcass. A lion roared as Samson prepared to meet his bride. Empowered by the strength of God, He killed the lion and ripped his jaw open. Samson later passed that way again, noticing the carcass he saw a swarm of bees. Samson found honey in the carcass and began to eat. Continuing on his journey, he ate the honey and shared it with his parents. God blessed Samson with the strength to slay the lion and provided a sweet taste from that very lion. Likewise, God is raising up a people walking in the power of God to slay the very thing attempting to take us out. The power of God is a strong tower, the righteous come in and are safe. We are strengthened and safe in His care. What the enemy designed to destroy shall be a sweet source and taste in our mouths. In the carcass of the very thing we defeated is the sweet taste of victory. Honey in the natural builds up our immune system. In the spirit, God says, be strengthened by the victories we have already overcome. Taste and see that the Lord is good. In the carcass of our greatest victory is a taste of His goodness. God says, look again at the carcass . . . the bees are swarming, the sweetness for our immune system waits. Look back at the carcass, the dead thing and find the honey He has prepared .
