Our Foundation – Intercession
The Lord directed Mama Bogan to Jeremiah 9:17-18 which reads, “Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Consider ye, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for cunning women, that they may come: And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.”
Armed with this scripture, Mama Bogan assembled together women who knew how to pray; women who knew how to intercede for our communities, our city, our state and our nation. These women became Women On Assignment to comply with the directive of the Lord to pray.
Prayer Produced Our Mission
The mission of Women On Assignment is to reach, to teach, and to serve our community. We help women gather information to build self esteem and deal with moral issues.
Prayer Brought Forth Our Vision
Throughout history, the table at “Mama’s House” has been a place of reconciliation, negotiation, love and tradition of culture. Our hope is to incorporate the richness of life experiences and skills of the older women to inspire the younger women to strive to fulfill their dreams and goals for a better future.
